Sandborn Fire Department

The Town of Sandborn is located 100 miles southwest of Indianapolis in northeastern Knox County. Organized in 1961, this all-volunteer department includes 18 members that respond to approximately 75 runs each year from their single station. SVFD provides Fire, Rescue and First Responder Medical protection to nearly 1,300 residents. Their district includes 140 square miles in the northern portions of Vigo Township in Knox County and all of Stafford Township in Greene County.

This rig was purchased from Ocean Reef FD in 1986. The Ocean Reef Club is a private resort community in Key Largo,
Florida. Originally a very plain truck, numerous additions and enhancements were made by SVFD since it's arrival.
