Vigo Township Fire Department

The City of Bicknell is located 106 miles southwest of Indianapolis in northeastern Knox County. Organized in 1976, this all-volunteer department includes 15 members that respond to approximately 100 runs each year from their single station. VTFD provides Fire, Rescue and First Responder Medical protection to nearly 500 residents and 45 square miles in the southernmost portions of Vigo Township around the city of Bicknell. Nearby Edwardsport covers thie middle portion of the Township while Sandborn protects the northern area.
