The oldest city in Indiana, Vincennes is located 122 miles west southwest of Indianapolis along the Illinois State border in Knox County. It lies nearly midway between Terre Haute and Evansville
at the crossroads of US-50 and US-41. Vincennes city FD is comprised of 41 full-time personnel that protect and 10 square miles and nearly 25,000 residents including the 5,100+ students of Vincennes University.

Rescue 1 is first due on medical runs, accidents and extrications. This rig was refurbished with the box remountd
onto a new chassis by RPI in 2007. It includes a wide variety of rescue tools and equipment including a new light tower
and a high pressure cascade system. Rescue 1 runs ALL calls, including medical.
