Rescue 5 - 1989 International/Summit Heavy Rescue
This apparatus formerly served as Rescue 7. Before the end of this decade, the purchase of a new Rescue 7 is planned. The
trucks will then likely rotate through again, with this rig reassigned as Hazmat 10 and replaced by the current R-7.

You don't see this very often. When the aerial device was no longer serviceable on this truck, the former Ladder 7 was
refurbished and converted for use as Engine 6. VTFD sold it to their mutual air partner, Denison FPD in St Francisville IL for use
as an "in town only" engine in 2004. It was still in service in 2007.

This apparatus is now in service at White River Township VFD in Hazleton, IN.

Special Thanks to Corbin Doades at Station 5 for his help in arranging the rigs for these pictures!
