The Town of Silver Lake is located 45 miles SSE of South Bend along IN-15 in
south-central Kosciusko County. Established in 1900, SLVFD includes 21 volunteer members who provide Fire and Rescue protection to 36 square miles including the Town of Silver Lake and Lake Township.
Engine 1 - 1995 Ford F-750/E-One Pumper - 1250gpm/1000gal Engine 1 responds as the first-due apparatus for most incidents within the Township.
Tanker 1 - Freightliner FL-70/2006 Good Hope - 2500 gallons
Tanker 1 responds as the first-due Tanker for rural incidents within the Township.
Tanker 2 - 1997 Freightliner FL-70/2002 Good Hope - 500gpm/2000gal
Rescue 1 - 2000 International 4900/AEV/2007 FD Medium Rescue
This rig previously served as an ambulance in nearby Leesburg before Multi-Township EMS took over the service there.
Brush 1 - 1988 Ford F-350 - 250gpm/400gal This apparatus was donated to the department by the friends and family of Ray "Razor" Clark who served on the department for 30 years.
Silver Lake's former station is located Downtown on IN-15 and Wells Street. Their new shared station is located on IN-14 just east of town, but is not yet pictured
