Station 1 - Headquarters

The City of Warsaw is located 50 miles southeast of South Bend at the crossroads of US 30 & SR 15. Organzied in 1912, this combination department of 30 career FF & 17 volunteer FF operate out of two stations in the city of Warsaw. WFD provides Fire, Rescue, Tactical Rescue & Medical First Responder Protection to the 38,000 residents of the City of Warsaw and Wayne Township.

Station 1
Station 1 - 109 E. Main Street
Located in downtown Warsaw, this firehouse serves as WFD Headquarters. It is also home to Engine 2, Squad 4,
Rescue 1 and Utility 108.

Squad 4 carries Amkus Extrication Equipment-Rams-Lift Bags-Various Medical Supplies.

Squad 4 - 2008 Pierce PUC Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal
Squad 4 is the first PUC pumper to be placed into service in Indiana. In April 2009, this apparatus replaced both Engine 2
and Rescue 1. It is the first-due rig for all fire and rescue calls from Station 1 in downtown.

Tactical Rescue 1 - 1998 International 4900/KME walk-around Medium Rescue
Rescue 1 previously ran as first-out on all car accidents and EMS assist calls at Station 1. It was reassigned as a Tactical Rescue Vehicle in April 2009 after the arrival of Squad 4. R-1 carries Amkus Extrication Equipment including Rams, Cribbing, Lift Bags, Air Bags, Various Hand Tools an AED and other Medical Equipment.

Engine 2 - 1998 Pierce Arrow Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal
Engine 2 previously ran first-out on all fire calls and township calls at Station 1. Engine 2 will be replaced by Squad 4 in
early April 2009.

Utilty 108 - 1996 GMC Sierra
108 responds with various Water/Ice/Rope/High Angle Rescue equipment to tactical rescue incidents.
Much of this equipment will be moved to Tactical Rescue 1 upon its reassignment in the spring of 2009.
