Volunteer Fire Department

The LaGrange Volunteer Fire Department was founded sometime before 1890 and consisted of a Hook & Ladder Company and Hose Company No. 1. Membership at this time was approximately 42 with 15 being in each Company. The first building built for fire equipment was in 1907.

This apparatus and the trailer it pulled served as the first Rescue Truck in LaGrange County.
