Topeka Fire Department

Topeka is located 43 miles northwest of Fort Wayne in southern LaGrange County. This volunteer department provides fire and rescue response from it's single station. Topeka protects the Town of Topeka and the Townships
of Eden & Coolspring, including 78 square miles
and nearly 8,000 residents.

Engine 32 was the first custom-cab ever purchased at TVFD. While 2nd due for fire runs, it is first our for auto entrapments
during the day and 2nd out at night. It includes a full set of extrication and rescue tools.

Rescue 30 includes room for 9 Firefighters with large rehab and command areas. It's equipment includes a full set of rescue
tools & air bags, a Cascade system & extra air bottles, EMS equipment and a thermal imaging camera. Rescue 30 is first
out on Auto Entrapment at night and 2nd out during the day behind Rescue Engine 32.
