The Town
of Dyer is located 24 miles southeast of Chicago along the Illinois border in Lake County.
First organized in 1915, Dyer is an all-volunteer department with 30 members who respond to 1,100 runs each year. DVFD provides Fire, Rescue, and BLS
protection to 18,000 residents and 17 square miles from it's two stations.
Dyer Fire Department Station 2 - 213th Street & Calumet Avenue
Station 2 protects the northside of Dyer and is home to Engine 1812, Ladder 1821, Rescue 1831 and Squad 1852.
