Hobart Fire Department

Hobart is located 55 miles southeast of Chicago along I-65 in Lake County. Hobart Fire Department is a full time Fire – EMS department that serves a population of 25,500 over an area of 25 square miles in the Northwest corner of Indiana

Quint 4 has previously served as the Frontline Engine company at Stations 4 and 1.
In December 2005 it was reassigned to Ladder Company status and will continue to respond from HQ Station 1.

Like all engines in the department, Engine 3 Co-reponds to all ALS and many BLS calls.

Tower 4 serves as the primary Ladder Company within the department. It's district includes the busy US-30 shopping corridor
and the southwest section of Hobart. At the end of 2005, it was joined by a second Ladder Company (former Quint 4)
at Station 1 to improve response time to the northern sections of town.

Engine 4 serves the busy US-30 shopping corridor and the southwest district of Hobart. At the end of 2005, it was
replaced at Station 4 by the new American LaFrance below. It will be reassigned as Engine 1 at Station 1.

This engine replaced the Pierce Saber at Station 4 and will continue to serve as the busiest Engine Company.
