Lakes of the Four Seasons Fire Force

Lakes of the Four Seasons straddles the county line between Lake and Porter Counties. Lakes of the Four Seasons Fire Force provides ALS, Fire and Rescue protection to more than 75 square miles including the Town of Winfield, Winfield Township, Lakes of the Four Seasons and Western Portage Township. This combination department includes two full-time personnel at Station 2 supplemented by more than 30 volunteers that respond from either station (one in each county).

Engine 3544 is the first due for fires in district locations with hydrants.

Rescue 3533 is the first out truck for extrications, car fires and brush calls from Station 2.
In 2007 it is due to be reaplaced with a larger rescue truck and will likely serve multiple utility functions.

Ambulance 3561 is one of the most unique EMS vehicles in the state. It carries 75 gallons of foam and light extrication equipment
which makes it possible for the two full-time personnel to rapidly provide a full and safe response to accidents
and car fires. The roll up storage compartment behind the cab stores turnout gear including SCBA tanks.
