Schneider - West Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department
West Creek Township is located in southeastern Lake County. Organized in 1926, 17 members of this all volunteer department respond to approximately 150 runs/year. SVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 7 square miles and
1,500 residents.
Schneider - West Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department - 238th Street & Parrish Avenue The 1st section built of this firehouse was built in 1931 and the second section in 1955. A 2 bay addition was added in 1978 and was replaced by the newest 3 bay add on in 2006.

This rig was purchased from Lincoln Township, Thayer, IN in early 2008.
Engine 56 (8211) - 1972 Ford C/Midwest/1986 Indiana Pumper - 1000gpm/750gal/20foam This apparatus was purchased from the Bunker Hill Fire Company (Franklin Township - Indianapolis) in 1997.

Former Engine 1 - 1978 Ward LaFrance Ambassador Pumper - 1500gpm/500gal
This classic pumper was purchased from Morgan Township in Malden, IN (just south of Valparasio) in 2002.
It was retired in early
2008 with the arrival of Engine 57.
