Marshall Township
Volunteer Fire Deparment

The Town of Judah is located 66 miles SSW of Indianapolis at along old IN-37 in northern Lawrence County. Organized in 1967, this all-volunteer department includes 14 members who respond to 225 runs each year. MTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First Responder protection to 36 square miles and and 4700 residents.

Marshall Township Fire Station - Firebarn Road & Old State Road 37
Built in 1985, this firehouse is home to all five MTVFD apparatus.

This apparatus was purchased from Pierce in 2008 and provides water for all fire runs in rural areas.

Equipped with TNT extrication tools, R5 responds to all Rescue and accidents calls for the department. This apparatus is scheduled tobe replaced in the near future.

This apparatus was purchased from a department in Massachusetts in 1993. It was unavailable for photos as this time.
