Fire Department The city of Anderson is located 38 miles NE of Indianapolis along I-69 and IN-28 in southwestern Madison County. Anderson's 7 stations provide Fire, Tactical Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to more than 60,000 residents. |

2 - 2000 Pierce Dash Pumper (#11472-02) - 1500gpm/750gal When Engine 3 was disbanded in early 2005, this apparatus was reassigned to station 2. The 2's district runs west of Madison Ave. from Community Hospital all the way to The Flagship near I-69. It is a mix of residential, commercial and industrial. Engine 2 has a twin at Engine 6. |

| Rescue 1 - 2005 Spartan/Lifestar - Walk-around Heavy Rescue AFD's Heavy Rescue serves it's own district for BLS calls much like a typical engine company. However, it also responds city-wide for Tactical Rescues, Extrications, major medical calls and all structure fires. |
