Fire Department Chesterfield is located 45 miles northeast of Indianapolis along I-69 and IN-32 in eastern Madison County. Chesterfield/Union Township's 9 apparatus respond from a single station in downtown Chesterfield. The all volunteer department protects nearly 10,000 residents in a residential, commercial and rural district. Chesterfield/Union Township's yellow apparatus come from a time in the mid-1970's when Madison County's departments were assigned different colors so they could easily be identified on mutual aid scenes. |
