Volunteer Fire Department The Town of Ingalls is located 27 miles east-northeast of Indianapolis along US-36 in the southwest corner of Madison County. Established in 1949, this all-volunteer department includes 23 members who respond from a single station. IFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to 2,000 residents within Ingalls and portions of Greene Township. |

| Ingalls Fire Station 20 - 247 N. Meridian Street at E. Broadway (US-36/IN-67) Ingalls' Firehouse is located along the railroad tracks that lines US-36, this station is currently home to all 5 IFD apparatus. An expansion of three drive-through bays in the rear of the building is planned for 2009-2010. |

| Former Engine 22 - 1971 Seagrave PB Pumper - 1000gpm/500gal This apparatus was retired in 2007 after several years of faithful service. It was originally purchased by Ingalls from Delran, New Jersey Company #2 in 1988. |
