Lapel Fire Department The town of Lapel is located 27 miles northeast of Indianapolis along IN-32 in western Madison County. First organized in 1902, LVFD is comprised of 30 volunteer members that respond from a single station. LVFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to all of Stony Creek Twp, half of Green Twp to the south, and half of Jackson Twp to the north. This department responds to approxmately 400 runs each year in their largely rural district. |

| Rescue 74 - 2007 Freightliner M2/2008 Seagrave Rescue Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal The newest apparatus in Lapel's flet was built with a poly body. It carries 2 sets of Amkus Extrication Tools, a PTO hydraulic generator, a thermal imaging camera and 1300ft of 5" hose amongst it's equipment. |
