Engine 1 is the original apparatus purchased by the department after the 1939 explosion leveled Town Hall including the entire
fire department and their trucks. It continues to be housed in it's own time capsule apparatus bay within the PFD station. It
has been well maintained by department personnel and is used for parades and other public functions.
