Completed in 2004 in the middle of a residential area, this firehouse was originally designated Station 2. In May 2009 all of
Lawrence's Fire stations and apparatus were reassigned numbers that fit along with the City of Indianapolis. This was intended
to avoid confusion on mutual aid and shared calls with IFD unit. This firehouse protects the west side of Lawrence and is
home to Engine 39 and a reserve Ambulance.
