Franklin Township Fire Department In 1991 three separate volunteer departments of Wanamaker (Station 51), Acton (Station 52) and Bunker Hill (Station 53) were consolidated into the Franklin Township Fire Department. Today FTFD includes 70 career personnel that provide, Fire, Tactical Rescue and ALS protection from five stations located across the Township in southeastern Marion County. |

| Franklin Township Fire Department Station 53 - Headquarters/Northside Station 53 serves as FTFD Headquarters. It is home to Engine, Ladder and Rescue 53 as well as Battalion 5, FTFD's Dive Commander and Quartermaster. |

| Ladder 53 - 1996 Pierce Arrow 100' Rear-mount platform - 1500gpm/300gal In late 2007, this truck was purchased from nearby Beech Grove. It was then refurbished and placed into service as Ladder 53. It now serves as the only platform aerial device in the southeast portion of Marion County. |
