Reserve Indianapolis Fire Department Station 12 - 339 North Sherman Drive - Near Eastside
Built in 1915, this firehouse previously served as the home to Engine 12 until 1994. From 1994-1996, it housed a two-man
Rescue Truck. On March 12th 1996, Rescue 12 was taken out of service and the station closed. The Indianapolis Fire
Department generously decided to allow The Indianapolis Fire Buffs (IFB) use of the building to house their Canteen Truck,
which at the time was provided by the Salvation Army. In addition to housing the Rehad Support Unit, one of IFB's antique fire apparatus is quartered here. The building is currently home to RSU 3, an antique engine and Wishard Medic 27, which uses it as a resting place from 11am to 11pm each day.
