This large TSU serves primarily as an Air Truck. However, it's new pump systems allows to fill SCBA or SCUBA tanks on scene.
It also has a long hose extension for setting up a air refill station inside a building for high-rise incidents.

With it's command cab and desk, TSU 29 frequently serves as the command post for the Urban Search and Rescue Team.

The addition of the new TSU in late 2004 forced Light Wagon 29 to be temporarily stationed at Station 26 for a year.
However, when Squad 29 was reassigned as Squad 32, Light Wagon 29 returned to it's original station.

TSU-29 served for 14 years before being replaced by the Ferrara unit above.

Along with Squads 5 and 18. Squad 29 was decommissioned in January 2006 as part of a department reorganization.
It was reassigned to Station 32 Engine and Ladder 29 will now respond to all medical and rescue calls.
