Engine 31 was the one of three Ferrara Pumpers that went into service in July 2007. It replaced the Pierce Lance below.

This rig served faithfully as Engine 31 for 9 years. During that time it racked up 110,000 miles and 20,000 engine hours!
In August 2007 this apparatus was reassigned to reserve status.

When Rescue Squad 18 was decomissioned in early 2006, this rig was refurbished and reassigned as Decon 31.
All new equipment was ordered. It now responds as part of the Northern Hazmat Team covering from 16th Street North
to the Marion/Hamilton County line.
