All personnel and apparatus at Station 31 are trained and equipped for Hazardous Materials response.

Engine 31 was the one of three Ferrara Pumpers that went into service in July 2007. It replaced the Pierce Lance below.

Former Engine 31 - 1998 Pierce Lance II Pumper - 1500gpm Hale pump/500gal/40gal foam
This rig served faithfully as Engine 31 for 9 years. During that time it racked up 110,000 miles and 20,000 engine hours!
In August 2007 this apparatus was reassigned to reserve status.

Ladder 31 is one of two tiller ladders in the IFD fleet. It's manueverability makes it a favorite with it's drivers.

Decon 31 - 1994 Freightliner FL-70/2006-American Fire Rescue - Walk-around Medium Rescue
When Rescue Squad 18 was decomissioned in early 2006, this rig was refurbished and reassigned as Decon 31.
All new equipment was ordered. It now responds as part of the Northern Hazmat Team covering from 16th Street North
to the Marion/Hamilton County line.

Former Tactical 31 and Tactical 13 - 1988 Ford F-700/Mavron - Walk-in medium rescue
This rig was retired from service in the Summer of 2006 after being replaced by the truck above.
