Station 43 was dedicated in August 1999 in memory of William "Bill" Sewell.

Station 43 is the only station in Battalion 4 without an ALS ambulance. Therefore a paramedic rides on board Engine 43
and a transport ambulance is then dispatched from the nearest station.
