Tactical 7 - 2003 American LaFrance Eagle custom walk-in Heavy Rescue Tactical 6, 7 and 14 serve as the Dive and Water Rescue units for IFD. This rig is also considered one of the city's two Heavy Rescues which responds to advanced extrications. The Dive teams are equipped with Swift/Top/Dive/Ice rescue equipment, including low and high angle rope rescue equipment. Each team has at least 3 divers at all times and a full complament of shore and staff support on any water related run.


Tactical 7 - 2003 American LaFrance Eagle walk-in Heavy Rescue Tactical 7 is one of only two true Heavy Rescues at IFD (14 the other) and responds to water rescues, structure fires and advanced extrications. This rig's features include 6-person cab, 5-SCBA Seats, 1000W Light Tower with 6 Kwik-Raze flood lights, along with various extrication tools.

Hovercraft 7 - 2007 This unique craft arrived at IFD in late 2007. This vehicle provides a fast response to ice and water rescues throughout Marion County. It is intended for light rescue retrieval work and delivery of flotation devices and safety ropes to victims. A single bench seat runs through the middle much like a waverunner with motorcycle-like handlebars providing the controls. The Hovercraft is typically brought to the scene behind Squad 7 as part of the Water Rescue Team.

RSU 1 - 2001 Ford E-350/Med-Tec Rehab Support In the spring of 2008, this rig was converted for use by the Indianapolis Fire Buffs for on-scene rehabilitation at working incident. The vehicle is currently kept at the Fire Buffs Headquarters in Old Station 12 on the city's near east side.
