Station 8 protects the northeast side of Indianapolis along Binford Boulevard (IN-37). Shown here with it's former rig in 2004,
this station has recently been surrounded by new commercial construction and has lost most of it's natural setting.

This rig responds as one of three Safety Officers spread across the city. Safety 2 responds from Station 8 and protects the
north side of the city including all of Battalion 2 and portions of Battalion 14 and 12.

In September 2009, four identical trucks were delivered to IFD. These went to Safety 2 & 4 and the two EMS Duty Officers.
