Wishard Emergency Medical Services Serving Indianapolis and Marion County since 1887 Wishard's Ambulance Service is one of the oldest hospital-based ambulance services in the nation. Its fleet of 22 paramedic ambulances respond to more than 60,000 calls each year. Wishard Medic Units are primarily numbered to correspond to the IFD Station in their response area. Several stations even house the Medic units in between runs. |
