Township/Castleton Volunteer Fire Department Lawrence Township is located in the northeast corner of Marion County. First started in 1950 as the Castleton VFD, a separate entity of the Lawrence Township FD was created in 1987. The LTFD/CVFD now serve as a combination department that protects more than 100,000 residents and some of the busiest traffic and commercial areas in all of Indianapolis. Arrow XT - 1500gpm/500gal Engine 331 was purchased with funds raised by Castleton Volunteer firefighters. It will move to reserve status and replace a much older reserve apparatus in 2010 with the arrival of a new E-331. |

Arrow XT Pumper - 1500gpm/500gal/CAFS E-331 responds as an ALS Engine with a Paramedic on-board each shift. Several departments around Indianapolis respond in this manner to keep their paramedics available while the ambulances transport the more common BLS patients. |

Pierce Enforcer walk-around Heavy Rescue Formerly designated Rescue 331, this rig was reassigned as "Tactical 331" in 2009 to standardize with the rest of Marion County's dispatch system. Tac-331 responds on all working fires, extrication calls and various rescue incidents at LTFD. |
