Perry Township's four stations protect a 45 square mile area of southern Marion county. Perry Township's protects approximately 92,000 residents. ALS ambulance service is contracted out to Rural Metro.

Station 661 is the only station without an ambulance and is located next door to the department's maintenance facility in
the north central portion of the township. Engine 661 and Rescue 661 are designated an Extrication Task Force for serious
MVA's throughout the township.

Squad 661 is also first due on all ALS calls within it's own district. A paramedic rides on board each shift along with
2-3 additional firefighters.

Squad 661 is jokingly referred to as the "Squengine." With it's rear-mounted pump and tank it could be considered an engine.
However, the department primarily purchased it for ALS, extrication and rescue purposes.

It currently runs a reserve engine.
