Wayne Township Fire Department
Station 85

Wayne Township Fire Department provides Fire, Rescue, Hazardous Material and ALS Ambulance protection to a large area of western Marion County. WTFD's response area surrounds the Indianapolis International Airport and includes a wide mix of industrial, commercial, residential and several miles of Interstates I-70 and I-465.

Engine 85 was purchased as a demo after it served at the Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 500 in 2006. It was
reassigned from E-82 to E-85 in late 2007 as the department finalized it move away from quints to separate Ladder and Engine
companies. Engine 85 responds from it's far northwest side station at 7981 W. Crawfordsville Road.

Aerial 885 was retired from active service in 2008 and now serves as the department's primary reserve ladder truck.
