Plymouth Fire Department

The Town of Plymouth is located 30 miles south-south-west of
South Bend along US-30 in Marshall County. Plymouth provides
ALS, Fire and Tactical Rescue protection to the 12,000 residents.

It's protection district covers nearly 100 square miles including the Plymouth and Center West Township. Previously a separate division,
the EMS Service has now been merged into the department and cross-training of personnel is ongoing.

Truck 1 is the department's only Aerial device and will run out of the city limits
to assist with fires in the townships when necessary.

Engine 1 is the first due engine company inside the city limits.

Engine 2 is the second out Engine Company for fires in the city. After previously serving as Engine 1, this truck
was refurbished in 1993 to enclose the cab.

Engine 7 was purchased with township funding and is the first due engine company in Center West Township.
Engine 7 is set up for rural fires and to draft out of a 3000 gallon drop tank that the engine carries with it.

Rescue 1 - 1999 International/American Fire Rescue

Rescue 1 runs on all extrications, structure fires and tactical water rescues. It is manned by a crew of 2-4
depending on available volunteer manpower.

ALS Medic 2 - International/Med-Tec

Medic 2 - International/Med-Tec
Medic 2 serves as the second-out Paramedic Ambulance for all EMS calls within the city limits.
