Martinsville Fire Department

The Town of Martinsville is located 32 miles southwest of Indianapolis along IN-67 in Morgan County. Martinsville is probably best known as the hometown of basketball legend John Wooden. First established in 1881, Martinsville is now a combination department that provides fire, rescue and BLS protection to 11,500+ residents and 12 square miles within the town limits. The rural areas are surrounding Martinsville are covered by nearby Washington Township.

With it's huge size, Truck 14 was hardly able to fit into the current historical fire station. While not ideal for the
department, Truck14 is currently housed in the closest available location garage about 2 blocks from the fire station.
The city hopes to build a new station that will house all of their apparatus sometime in the near future.
