The Town of French Lick is located 65 miles south of Indianapolis along IN-56 in western Orange County. Established in 1961, this combination department includes 20 members who respond to 200 runs each year from 2 stations. OCRFD #1 provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 165 square miles incuding all of unincorporated French Lick Township, all of Northwest and Jackson Townships, and portions of Greenfield, Paoli and Orangeville Township.

Squad 22 and Tanker 22-3 respond from Station 2 on CR 590S near Greenbrier, IN. This firehouse is actually a department
member's garage that he has let them use to store the trucks until the time when a second firehouse is built.
