Spurgeon/Monroe Township
Volunteer Fire Department

The small town of Spurgeon is located 150 miles southwest of Indianapolis along IN-61 in the rural southwest corner of Pike County. Organized in 1956, this all-volunteer department responds from a single station. SMTVFD provides Fire and BLS protection to 400 residents of The Town of Spurgeon and surrounding Monroe Township.
