Fire Department - Lake Eliza

The Town of Lake Eliza is located 58 miles southeast of Chicago along County Roads W. 100 South and S. 500 West in west central Porter County. In 2004 Boone Grove VFD & Lake Eliza VFD were merged together to create Porter Township Fire Department. PTFD provides Fire, Rescue & BLS Non-transport protection to 8000 residents living in an a mostly rural area of 42 square miles.

This firehouse protects the northern portions of Porter Township and is home to Engine 2314, Tanker 2340, Squad 2356,
Brush 2370 and Command 1302.

Engine 2314 runs first out on all fire and MVA calls from Station 2. In addition to various firefighting equipment, E-2314 carries
Hurst Tools and cribbing for auto extrication incidents.
