Morristown
Volunteer Fire Department

Morristown is located 25 miles southwest of Indianapolis in southwestern Shelby County. Organized in 1954, this all-volunteer department includes 24 members who respond to 180 runs each year. MVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First Responder protection to 30 square miles including Morristown and Hanover Township.

Station

Morristown Fire Station - East Main & Poplar Streets
This firehouse was built around the old city building. The front section was completed in 1922 and the rear in 1980. It serves
now serves as a community building.

E51 is the first-due apparatus and Engine Company for most incidents at Morristown.

This truck was the last apparatus purchased by the Town. All apparatus since have been provided by Hanover Township.

Tanker 52 - 1996 International 4900/Midstate Tanks - 350gpm/2400gal
TK-52 is the first-due tanker for rural incidents at MVFD.

Rescue 51 - 1998 Ford F-350/Fontaine Light Rescue
R-51 responds to all medical and rescue calls. It it equipped with Hurst Tools for vehicle extrications.

Tactical 51 - 2004 GMC/Supreme/2006 FD
This multi-purpose vehicle provides inincludes a Command Desk, spare air packs and bottles and various Hazmat equipment.
