Ohio Township
Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Rockport is located along the Ohio River, 35 miles east of Evansville in southwestern Spencer County. The department was originally established as the Rockport VFD in 1898. In 2004, the department changed names, funding and jurisdiction to include all of Ohio Township. The 28 members of this all-volunteer department respond to 200 runs each year. OTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and First-Responder Medical protection to nearly 64 square miles.
