Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Wyatt is located 15 miles southeast along IN-331 in St. Joseph County. Established in 1947, this all-volunteer department includes 20 members and 6 cadets who respond to 120 runs each year. MTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 2000 residents and 50 square miles including the Town of Wyatt and Madison Township.

Like several rural departments in the midwest, MTFD's rig previously served as a milk truck prior to it's fire service.
