Township Fire Department Penn Township is located 95 miles east of Chicago and 140 miles north of Indianapolis in eastern St. Joseph County. Penn Twp is just east of South Bend and essentially surrounds the City of Mishawaka. 4 stations provide Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to nearly 65,000 residents. PTFD is a combination department with full-time members at each location supplemented by volunteers for larger incidents. |
