South Bend is Indiana's fourth largest city. It is located in between
Ft. Wayne and Chicago along I-90 and the Michigan state line. Founded as a full-time depmartment in 1887, South Bend Fire Department now includes 248 firefighters and 11 fire stations. Together they provide Fire, Tactical Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to 107,000+ residents in St. Joseph County.
