Volunteer Fire Department


The Town of Stockwell is located southwest of Lafayette near US-52 in southeastern Tippecanoe County. Organized in 1936, this all-volunteer department includes 16 members who respond to 150 runs each year from a single station. CHVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 54 square miles of Lauramie Township including the Town of Stockwell. ALS transport is provided county-wide by Tippecanoe Co. EMS.

This rig was a twin to Clarks Hill's Brush 802 and carried Ward LaFrance #73-1219. This apparatus served as their primary
engine until the Ford/E-One was delivered. The department removed the mini-pumper body and converted it to brush use.

R-1204 responds to all medical and accident calls and carries a set of Hurst extrication tools.
