Former Tanker 63 - 1974 International Loadstar/FD - 200gpm/2000gal This rig was retired in 2007 with the arrival of the new Kenworth tanker above.
Brush 68 - 1955 GMC M-125/1970's FD Custom - 100gpm/1500gal This cool looking older truck served several departments around Indiana. As with many former military vehicles, this was reassigned to the Department of Natural Resources at the end of it's military career. Technically DNR vehicles are owned by the state and are required to respond to large scale brush/forest fires when they occur. However, the rigs are often kept and maintained by individual fire departments as part of their working apparatus fleet. Thus was the case with this truck as it served the following departments as a brush/tanker truck: It began at the Town of Odin from 1971-1978, then moved to nearby Edwardsport from 1978-1986, then on to Plainville from 1986-2000. It is now used as the second-due rig for grass and field fires at Wildcat Township.
