Evansville is located 125 miles west of Louisville, KY in the far southwest corner of Indiana. EFD provides Fire, Tactical Rescue, HazMat and BLS protection from it's 14 stations. Their district includes nearly 125,000 residents and 40 square miles in
Vanderburgh County.

Station 3 serves as Evansville 's water rescue station. It is home to Engine, Rescue 3, and Utility 3, a Reserve Rescue and the department's fire and rescue boats. Engine 17 is seen here stopping off to get medical supplies.

Rescue 3 responds to accidents, extrications and tactical rescue situations on the city's northside.
It also carries most of the Departments water rescue equipment.

1U3 serves multiple purposes at. Its setup similar to a brush truck which allows it quick access to the beach and
waterfront area along the Ohio River. It is also used to pull the smaller Jon Boat rescue boat for ice and water rescues.
