Evansville is located 125 miles west of Louisville, KY in the far southwest corner of Indiana. EFD provides Fire, Tactical Rescue, HazMat and BLS protection from it's 14 stations. Their district includes nearly 125,000 residents and 40 square miles in
Vanderburgh County.

buildings on the near northwest side.

Station 6 is a quiet, single-engine house that protects a largely residential district on the city's far southeast side.

Engine 6 is expecting a newer, re-assigned engine in late 2007. This is one of the last two open-cab pumper in active use at EFD.

commercial, schools and residential.
