Station 8 is located in a large commercial and industrial district on the northside of Evansville. This unique station fit right into
the row of warehouse-type buildings along. The double-bay on the right side houses Tower 8 and a reserve engine (currently
former Engine 4). The four bays on the left side of the building house EFD's maintenance facility.

Tower 8 started its career as a Quint running out of Station 3. However that busy district's large number of medical runs was
taking it's toll on this large rig. After a year it reassigned to Station 8 where it continues to make 500+ runs each year as a
Quint in it's own district.

Engine 10's side-mount pumper is representative of most of Evansville's newer fleet. Engine 10 carries a crew of 4
and is the busiest Engine in the city. All of the frontline fire apparatus at Evansville serve as a memorial for former firefighters
who have passed away (not necessarily in the line of duty) with different names printed on the side of each apparatus.
