Station 8 - South

German Township is located in northwest Vanderburgh County along IN-65 immediately northwest of Evansville. Established in the 1950's, the 80 members of this combination department respond with 7 frontline apparatus from their two stations. GTFD provides Fire, Rescue, and Medical protection to 28.8 square miles and 7,500 residents.

This station was originally built in 1959 with an expansion in 1975 and a remodel in 1999. It is currently home to Brush 8,
Engine 8 and Engine 81.
