McCutchanville Fire Department
Station 5

McCutchanville is located just northeast of Evansville is north central Vanderburgh County. MFD is a combination department with two full-time personnel at each station during the weekdays. Established in 1947, this combination department now includes 60 personnel who respond from 2 stations. MFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Response protection to 10,000 residents and nearly 50 square miles in McCutchanville and Center Township.

Station 5 serves as McCutchanville Headquarts. It is home to Engine, Rescue, Tanker, Quint and Brush 5 and Command 1.

Tanker 5 is the last rig that was still in-service at the previous station. The low station height of the old building required the
unique mounting of the light bars on the front of this rig.

The hand-painted sign above came from the original 2-bay MVFD station just across the street. It is now hung
inside Station 5 as a reminder of the department's proud history.
