Scott Township Fire Department
Stations 2 - 3

Scott Township is located 10 miles northeast of Evansville across the northern edge of Vanderburgh County. STFD is a combination department with 7 full-time, 7-part-time and 33 volunteer members responding from three stations. Established in 1955, STFD provides Fire, Rescue and ALS Transport protection in the areas of Scott Township, the Town of Darmstadt, and Armstrong Township.

Scott Township Fire Department Station 2 - 12425 North Green River Road at IN-57 - Daylight
This single-engine house shares quarters with the Township Trustee's Offices (in the back). It is now home only to 4 Engine 2.
The original building was constructed in 1973 with and addition in 1985.

4 Engine 2 - 1997 Freightliner FL-80/Precision Rescue Pumper - 1250gpm/750gal
Engine 2 was one of two identical pumpers ordered by the department from Precision Fire Apparatus.

Scott Township Fire Department Station 3 - 12949 Darmstadt Road
Station 3 is an all-volunteer station located in the Town of Darmstadt in the western portion of STFD's area. The original
firehouse was completed in 1969. The 3's is now home to Engine, Rescue, and Brush 3 as well as the Hazmat Decon Trailer
and a Mass Casualty Response trailer.

In addition to a full compliment of firefighting tools, this apparatus is also equipped with a full set of extrication tools.

4 Rescue 3 - 1986 Chevy C70/EVF - Medium Rescue
This former pumper had it's pumps and tank removed around 2000 and was converted to a full-time rescue truck.
It is scheduled to be replaced in late 2008 with a new custom rescue.
