Honey Creek Fire Protection
District - Station 1

The Honey Creek Fire Protection District is located on the southside of Terre Haute in Vigo County. Honey Creek is a combination department with a mix of career and volunteer members. First Established in 1974, Honey Creek provides Fire, Rescue and limited Hazardous Materials protection to nearly 10,000 residents and more than 40 square miles along the Indiana/Illinois border.

Honey Creek Fire Department Headquarters - Station 1 - 6553 South Carlisle Street just west of US-41.
Located within sight of US-41, this station is home to Engine, Tower, Rescue, Squad, Tanker and Utility 91.

R-91 includes a full set of extrication equipment, air bags, and high and low angle rope rescue equipment. It is first due for
auto extrications and accidents. In late 2008, this rig is scheduled to be reassigned to Station 93 and will be replaced at Station 91
by a new Heavy Rescue Truck.

Tower 99 was originally purchased from Glenn Dale, Maryland. It then served as Honey Creek's Ladder Truck
until being replaced in 2002 by Tower 91.
