Markle Rural Fire Department The small town of Markle is located 25 miles south of Fort Wayne along I-69 in northwestern Wells County. Originally founded in 1899, there are now 30 members of this all-volunteer department. MRFD provides Fire, Rescue & BLS non-transport protection to approximately 2,000 residents and 108 square miles. Their response area includes the Town of Markle and Union and Rock Creek Townships in both Wells and Huntington Counties. |
